The food was lovely, best bacon roll I've had in years. The rooms were clean and well equipped with Geraldine being the perfect host. The guest house is next to a fairly busy bridge crossing the Wye so if you're a light sleeper and staying in the summer months wanting the windows open you may benefit from ear plugs. We were exhausted from our daily activities so slept very well but I could see some people struggling.

We stayed at the river cafe on a cycling trip and loved it here. They locked our bikes away securely, left us tea & cake for us when we arrived late, the room was so comfy and warm, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Dropped into The River Cafe today with my wife and two friends. Very pleasant experience had by all. We ordered 2 steak sandwiches with chips and 2 fish and chips. All cooked to an excellent standard with decent portions. Service was more than satisfactory and the cafe itself is to restaurant standards, even beating some of the restaurants I've eaten at. Well worth a visit. Thankyou

Its the second time I've been to the river cafe where once a year there is a jamming session for the harpists with the Glasbury Arts Harp Summer School. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and the meal was delicious. Hands down the best fish and chips I have ever had, and the pasta there was perfect! The Eton Mess was also lovely! Great atmosphere, a beautiful view over the river, and excellent food and service! I would very highly recommend!

We had a very nice lunch here - scampi monkfish with minted mayonnaise and peas. All had different desserts and well presented. Quite a basic setting but excellent quality food. The staff were really attentive without being in our face. We will certainly go again.

What a magical place to stay. The rooms are beautiful and clearly have been newly decorated and fitted. The cafe serves brilliant coffees, cakes, sandwhiches, quiches, freshly baked bread. Perfect for picnics before you head out into the Breacon Beacons to explore.
